Border 2 is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language epic war action film directed by Anurag Singh and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J. P. Dutta and Nidhi Dutta. The film is a sequel to the iconic 1997 blockbuster Border and marks a powerful return to the battlefield with a new generation of heroes.
Sunny Deol reprises a central role as Lt Col Fateh Singh Kaler, leading an ensemble cast that includes Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty, each portraying decorated Indian armed forces officers. The film also features a strong female cast with Mona Singh, Medha Rana, Sonam Bajwa and Anya Singh, adding emotional depth to the war narrative.
Officially announced on 13 June 2024, coinciding with the 27th anniversary of Border, the sequel has generated massive anticipation among fans. With music by celebrated composers like Anu Malik, Mithoon and Vishal Mishra, and a background score by John Stewart Eduri, Border 2 promises a grand cinematic experience.
The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on 23 January 2026, perfectly timed for the Republic Day weekend.
