IndiaAI, under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), in collaboration with the Government of Uttar Pradesh, will organize the Uttar Pradesh Regional AI Impact Conference 2026 on 12–13 January 2026 in Lucknow. The conference aims to showcase cutting-edge applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in governance and public service delivery while aligning state-level initiatives with the objectives of the IndiaAI Mission.
The Uttar Pradesh Regional AI Impact Conference 2026 will serve as an official precursor to the India AI Impact Summit 2026, scheduled to be held in New Delhi from 16–20 February 2026. It is part of a national series of eight regional AI impact conferences being organized across the country to promote responsible, inclusive, and large-scale adoption of AI.
The Lucknow conference will bring together senior policymakers, officials from central and state governments, global institutions, industry leaders, researchers, innovators, and startups. Discussions will focus on the responsible and inclusive use of AI, particularly in areas such as healthcare systems, digital public infrastructure, economic growth, and social welfare.
The two-day event will feature sessions on the global AI landscape, AI-enabled healthcare delivery, state-level preparedness and capacity building, digital public infrastructure for health, AI-based diagnostics and clinical innovation, and workforce empowerment. The conference will also include startup showcases, hackathon outcomes, and industry-led demonstrations aimed at translating policy intent into real-world, scalable impact.
Ahead of the conference, an IndiaAI Working Group meeting on the theme “AI for Economic Growth and Social Welfare” will be held in a hybrid format on 12 January 2026 in Lucknow. The meeting will be jointly organized by MeitY, IndiaAI, and the Government of Uttar Pradesh. As a key pillar of the India AI Impact Summit 2026 process, the working group will bring together member countries, international organizations, policymakers, and domain experts to coordinate on priority AI issues requiring global collaboration.
The Uttar Pradesh Regional AI Impact Conference 2026 will leverage the state’s growing momentum in digital governance, health innovation, and technology-driven public service delivery. It will demonstrate real-world AI use cases in healthcare systems, digital public infrastructure, and state-led initiatives, while fostering collaboration among government, industry, academia, and startups under the IndiaAI framework.
Outcomes from the working group meeting, conference discussions, and ecosystem engagements are expected to contribute to shaping a national roadmap for the India AI Impact Summit 2026, reinforcing the Government of India’s commitment to safe, trusted, and people-centric AI for public good.
